Interview Advice

It is vital that you prepare yourself. The interviewer has taken time to gather information about you, therefore you should do the same for them - you only get one chance.

Preparing for the Interview

Research the Company - gather information on their services/products, financial results and competitors (this is usually available from their website, broadsheet newspapers or the company).

Check the location, time and date. You should ideally arrive 5-10 minutes before the interview so you can get an initial feel for the environment and have time to compose yourself.

Be prepared for the questions you will be asked. Make sure you know your own CV, why you are suitable for the role, your strengths and weaknesses and your future career plan.

The Interview

First impressions are vital. It is widely accepted that the first 2 minutes are crucial and the interviewer often makes his mind up as to your suitability in that timescale.

Ensure that you have a tidy appearance; wear a smart but conservative suit preferably black, blue or grey.

Ensure you greet the interviewer with a firm handshake to show your confidence and capability.

Ensure you speak clearly and have a positive attitude. Do not be aggressive or conceited at any point throughout the interview. Even if you realise you do not want the job, still be polite - you can reject the position after all.

PLEASE BE ADVISED YOUR CV IS CONFIDENTIAL AND WILL ONLY BE SENT TO COMPANIES WITH YOUR PERMISSION.
